Everyone dreams of creating a digital product so you can create that elusive passive income. It is the natural next step in a business.
But how do you know what kind of digital product your audience will be receptive to? The answer is crazy easy. Just ask them. You will be amazed at the feedback and the time you can save.
I am giving you my steps to curating the perfect digital product your customers actually want and the formula to keep it updated.

How to Do It
Step 1 – Talk to them
Yes, it’s really that simple. Ask them what they are struggling with and how you can help them.
Here’s the thing though – when I tell people to ask their customers what they want, they immediately create a survey and send it to their list.
But guess what…Surveys don’t work!
Why don’t surveys work? Because you assume you’re asking the right questions.
Boom! Mind-blowing statement right there.
You don’t know what they want or why they want it. To get to the underlying emotions that make people do the things they do, you need to talk to them and get to know them so they can tell you the answers to the questions you never would have guessed to ask.
Step 2 – Get them involved in the digital product creation process
Your audience will be great contributors to the creation of your course if you allow them to be. You can discover so much just by asking for their feedback.
Do they want a downloadable video series or do they want a self-paced e-course? There are so many different options for creating a digital product so why not ask the consumers what they would prefer?
If it’s a toss-up, consider doing both! It’s a great way to have options on your site and it reached double the amount of people.
Step 3 – Improve the digital product
Once you create an evergreen digital product, you should continuously improve it. As softwares update and processes change, so should your product. It needs to remain current.
Continue to ask your audience questions. As those questions change, update your product!
You will be amazed at the responses you will get just by announcing a new module has been added.
What I am getting at is, by involving your ideal audience in every aspect of the digital product creation, you will not only create a product that will sell, but you are also creating a product without spending hours researching.
See, this is also a great way to get a digital product out there fast! Asking questions and getting feedback is how the big players do it. They don’t speed countless hours brainstorming and pondering about what the people want – they ask the people!

I will say though, when it comes to the strategic planning and technical part of your digital product you do need to seek help from a mentor who has proven results, not from a Facebook Group.
I would love to guide your through this process and help your new digital product exceed your expectations!
