Are you even ready for the biggest couple of days of the e-commerce year? Thanksgiving through to Cyber Monday has been known to achieve some of the highest sales days in the entire year!
Yes, I’m talking about black Friday and it is around the corner. I am here to give you the low down on the 3 things you need to do and the 3 things you can totally forget when it comes to creating black friday deals for your business!
Black Friday started as an American custom, indicating that the beginning of the Christmas shopping season has started. However, Black Friday has gone international with retailers and businesses all over the world offering discounts off items on that day.
What was started as only one day of shopping extravaganza has now been turned into for some businesses a month of crazy offers and deals going through the week up to Black Friday and through to Cyber Monday. If you haven’t seen it, big businesses like Walmart are doing a month long promotion this year! This is only a reminder to us that we need to be thinking of our black Friday deals sooner than we think.

Here are the top 3 things you need to do:
- Plan ahead
Just like the big business, you need to plan your promotions in advance. Launching your black friday deals on black friday is too late! I know it sounds crazy, but if you wait until then there have been so many other black friday offers out there to buy. The competition is HUGE and so you need to be on the ball and make sure you plan ahead.
- Go low with your pricing
When you are thinking of your offer, think of your low ticket offers or put together a new offer under $100, the sweet spot would be $50. Make sure it’s something that will reach as many people as possible and that someone won’t be able to say no to. This is especially good if you are trying to grow your business. Everyone is looking for something to help them plan or improve their life and business, so think of how you can offer something that will help.
- Add value
How can you add value to an already existing offer instead of reducing your price. It is so easy to add value. People love live content or new information. Adding things like 1 on 1 coaching or live sessions with you will add incredible value to your black Friday offer!
Okay, so those are the top 3 things you need to do to improve your black Friday experience and get the most out of it without losing profits or losing your mind.

Here are the top 3 things to forget:
- Don’t discount
Discounting and sales are very common practice on black Friday but there is good reason to NOT do it! So, tying into the “add value” of the previous tips, DON’T discount your offers. Discounting your offers lowers the value of the product. Instead add value to your already existing offer!
- Don’t wait until last minute but don’t put nothing out
We have already said that it’s best to plan ahead and not wait until the last minute but It happens to many of us, we are just going on with our lives and all of a sudden it’s almost thanksgiving and you haven’t even thought of black friday deals. So you think “oh well, I’ll skip it this year.” NO! Don’t do that. So, don’t wait till the last minute but don’t think that it’s too late, there is always time to put out an offer.
- Don’t think you have nothing to offer because you don’t have anything yet
Just because you don’t have any courses or products yet don’t think that you can’t put something together right now and have it ready for black friday. Another tip is to promote something and sell it first that you can then record live with the people who purchased it and add it into your course area afterwards to sell as a DIY course. Selling a live class will also add value into your offer because then everyone can ask questions. This is an ingenious way to start RIGHT now! A perfect way to stop procrastinating and just get started.
Promote, promote, promote!
Create your black friday offer and promote it! Promote it so much that it feels awkward and uncomfortable! I know you are probably thinking i’m crazy but just because you see it all over your feed doesn’t mean everyone else does. It all gets diluted by other posts they see and the other day to day things they are doing in their lives like scrolling other platforms, watching tv or dealing with their kids.
So get started! Get your offer ready, don’t wait!
I hope this year your black Friday is enjoyable and successful!
